Legend

What was once the western United States is now home to the Republic, a nation perpetually at war with its neighbors. Born into an elite family in one of the Republic’s wealthiest districts, fifteen-year-old June is a prodigy being groomed for success in the Republic’s highest military circles. Born into the slums, fifteen-year-old Day is the country’s most wanted criminal. But his motives may not be as malicious as they seem.
From very different worlds, June and Day have no reason to cross paths – until the day June’s brother, Metias, is murdered and Day becomes the prime suspect. Caught in the ultimate game of cat and mouse, Day is in a race for his family’s survival, while June seeks to avenge Metias’s death. But in a shocking turn of events, the two uncover the truth of what has really brought them together, and the sinister lengths their country will go to keep its secrets.

Simply amazing! You can’t help yourself but to keep on reading it! I love the book to pieces! I can’t even stop thinking about it. Before I go to bed, my mind will always travel back to the story of Day and June. It’s truly stuck in my head how creative the story went. I didn’t expect any conclusion or how the book will turn out that way or this way. Unpredictable. And that’s what I love about it! Thrill! The thrill is always there! SO here’s the thing: I can’t move on to reading another book because I’m stuck.. Legend is just awesomeage! I’m so in loooove. My head keeps coming back on the same book. The characters. Day. June. John. Eden. Metias. The stupid Republic killing its people (yes, even the killing of people part is haunting me. I feel furious at the government in the Republic!).

By the way, Patriots is the second book which will come this Fall! Yippee (but it feels like forever…fall? Seriously? Fall? We have to wait here. Hanging on to our most bizarre imaginations of what’s going to happen?? OMGOSH. I die.)!

I love how Day takes care of his family and that all he thinks about is them, how well are they doing. Same goes my love for John, Day’s brother. He put others first before himself. Protective of his family.

June and his brother Metias. Both are wonderful siblings. The bond they have is what makes me smile. Always there for each. Alert. Watches each other back. Taking care of each other. Both are really resilient and responsible without their parents. That’s how i love this book. There are meaningful things behind it. Especially the Lake sector (poor part of the Republic, LA) when June realizes the life of a beggar only then she felt a deep heartfelt of sadness of how people are desperate for money, food. Especially food.

I’m fascinated by the chemistry that began to form between June and Day. A rich young woman who is on a mission fell in love with a boy who lives in the poor sector. Different worlds collide. All unexpectedly to happen.

Oh my gosh. I must be spoiling, you readers who haven’t read it yet. Soooory. I’m such a dramatic girl over this book. It has a deep meaning than I expected. I was just reflecting. It hits me in the bottom part of my heart and that’s why I had to jot it down. Type it. This book is beyond you can imagine. Its in there. YOU HAVE TO READ IT.

Happy reading bookworms!

P.S. Sorry to have it write it this way with spoilers. Well, lots of it. I think it was half. But you didn’t got all the spoilers. That’s all. Oh! I almost forgot. Wait for it…. There’s going to be a Legend movie coming up next year, 2013 by CBS Film! How about that!! ‘Like’ the official Facebook page of Legend movie: CLICK HERE

Truth will become legend.

Au Revoir, Crazy European Chick

Perry Stormaire is a normal high school senior– he is busy applying to college and rehearsing with his band –until he agrees to go to the prom with the Lithuanian exchange student who is staying with his family. It turns out that Gobi Zaksauskas is not the mousy teenager that she seems but rather an attractive, confident trained assassin. Instead of going to the prom, Perry finds himself on a wild ride through the streets of New York City as Gobi commandeers the Jaguar his father lent him for the prom in order to take out her targets. Perry learns a lot about himself – and ends up with some amazing material for his college application essays

I finished reading this book less than 24 hours, I guess. A crazy roller coaster ride, this book! Love it!! All about the adventure! I want the book to turned into a movieeeeee!! I want to read the sequel noooow!!! Funny characters! Especially, Perry! Haha!

Perry! I like Perry, a weak guy who can’t stand up for himself and when he got the courage to, eventually… Wow! All because of Gobi! Gobi! Feel kinda sorry for Perry though, for some reason. Night prom had to be like that. But at least he got to change something about himself that he couldn’t then. Now I can’t wait for Europe!! The next book! Perry. In Europe!! Oh my…. Lol!

A fast paced book to read! Go ahead and check it out! :D

I think, there’s a possibility that this book will turn into a movie. Just saying.

Hush Hush

Patch. He’s everything I love about this book. Not really the protagonist. Sorry, Nora.

For Nora Grey, romance was not part of the plan. She’s never been particularly attracted to the boys at her school, no matter how much her best friend, Vee, pushes them at her. Not until Patch came along. With his easy smile and eyes that seem to see inside her, Nora is drawn to him against her better judgment.

But after a series of terrifying encounters, Nora’s not sure who to trust. Patch seems to be everywhere she is, and to know more about her than her closest friends. She can’t decide whether she should fall into his arms or run and hide. And when she tries to seek some answers, she finds herself near a truth that is way more unsettling than anything Patch makes her feel.

For Nora is right in the middle of an ancient battle between the immortal and those that have fallen – and, when it comes to choosing sides, the wrong choice will cost her life.

Yep. I finished reading this book in 2 days!! It’s THAT fast! Fast read for me because some parts are like blah blah blah, pretty cliché, the story.

What I love the most and really find h-o with t is Patch Cipriano!!! Very cocky and flirty! But there’s a side of him that’s sincere and soft. The fallen became a guardian angel. aaahhh *singing with an angelic voice* haha! Patch is so hilarious, even when him and Nora are in the middle of a situation, he will make jokes! Haha Gosh. Bad guy fell in love with good girl. Angel. Hahah. I’m still thinking whether to continue reading on the sequel which is Crescendo.

I read the excerpt from Crescendo and… Marcie needs some serious counseling. Nora, trying to place every bad thing happened between them & she kept acting like a baby!

Oh yeah, Patch is hilarious! Even in a risky situation, he makes jokes with Nora. Gone crazy! LOL

I guess, that’s all. And yeah, again. I like Patch. PATCH. I. ADORE. YOU.
