Legend

What was once the western United States is now home to the Republic, a nation perpetually at war with its neighbors. Born into an elite family in one of the Republic’s wealthiest districts, fifteen-year-old June is a prodigy being groomed for success in the Republic’s highest military circles. Born into the slums, fifteen-year-old Day is the country’s most wanted criminal. But his motives may not be as malicious as they seem.
From very different worlds, June and Day have no reason to cross paths – until the day June’s brother, Metias, is murdered and Day becomes the prime suspect. Caught in the ultimate game of cat and mouse, Day is in a race for his family’s survival, while June seeks to avenge Metias’s death. But in a shocking turn of events, the two uncover the truth of what has really brought them together, and the sinister lengths their country will go to keep its secrets.

Simply amazing! You can’t help yourself but to keep on reading it! I love the book to pieces! I can’t even stop thinking about it. Before I go to bed, my mind will always travel back to the story of Day and June. It’s truly stuck in my head how creative the story went. I didn’t expect any conclusion or how the book will turn out that way or this way. Unpredictable. And that’s what I love about it! Thrill! The thrill is always there! SO here’s the thing: I can’t move on to reading another book because I’m stuck.. Legend is just awesomeage! I’m so in loooove. My head keeps coming back on the same book. The characters. Day. June. John. Eden. Metias. The stupid Republic killing its people (yes, even the killing of people part is haunting me. I feel furious at the government in the Republic!).

By the way, Patriots is the second book which will come this Fall! Yippee (but it feels like forever…fall? Seriously? Fall? We have to wait here. Hanging on to our most bizarre imaginations of what’s going to happen?? OMGOSH. I die.)!

I love how Day takes care of his family and that all he thinks about is them, how well are they doing. Same goes my love for John, Day’s brother. He put others first before himself. Protective of his family.

June and his brother Metias. Both are wonderful siblings. The bond they have is what makes me smile. Always there for each. Alert. Watches each other back. Taking care of each other. Both are really resilient and responsible without their parents. That’s how i love this book. There are meaningful things behind it. Especially the Lake sector (poor part of the Republic, LA) when June realizes the life of a beggar only then she felt a deep heartfelt of sadness of how people are desperate for money, food. Especially food.

I’m fascinated by the chemistry that began to form between June and Day. A rich young woman who is on a mission fell in love with a boy who lives in the poor sector. Different worlds collide. All unexpectedly to happen.

Oh my gosh. I must be spoiling, you readers who haven’t read it yet. Soooory. I’m such a dramatic girl over this book. It has a deep meaning than I expected. I was just reflecting. It hits me in the bottom part of my heart and that’s why I had to jot it down. Type it. This book is beyond you can imagine. Its in there. YOU HAVE TO READ IT.

Happy reading bookworms!

P.S. Sorry to have it write it this way with spoilers. Well, lots of it. I think it was half. But you didn’t got all the spoilers. That’s all. Oh! I almost forgot. Wait for it…. There’s going to be a Legend movie coming up next year, 2013 by CBS Film! How about that!! ‘Like’ the official Facebook page of Legend movie: CLICK HERE
