If there is one thing Until You're Mine taught me it would be that saying friendly-type connection is friendship with someone you want for yourself - girl, you deceiving yourself. At the start when they met, both Shane Knox and Brooklyn Roth should have known better. Attraction is difficult to deny and you cannot not force that to turn into something "just friends". However, they are aware of everything that has been happening to their friendship and how unstable it is due to their current situation and mostly - I wouldn't call it lust - Shane can be flirty but that's that. Both have depth that readers can really dig into. I appreciate that the most.

Shane Knox is not just your typical leading man in the story that has got it all. He has the vibes of an instant gentleman and just genuine towards people who matters to him and then wild, untamed the next especially if he has to defend anyone or everyone he wanted to protect including himself, of course. Danger. That word that makes your heart leap. Gotta take the risk. I also have to say that Shane has got to be the most transparent person in the plot. Admitting and sharing his past with Brooklyn opened his heart as if he gave the weapon to Brooklyn that easily, takes real guts.

As for Brooklyn Roth, the case with her is having to do the same cheating scenario that was done to her by her MMA fighter ex Conrad. She is considering not to be like her ex towards her current boyfriend, Trey. Therefore, avoiding and keeping things at bay with Shane Knox is the right way to live. All that needs to be done would be to prepare accounts for the gym's need for financial reports that her dad desperately need to be organized. Due to her heart being broken by Conrad, that made her to decide to escape MMA world even further away. Then comes her calling towards the arts and applied to San Francisco Art Institute. Basically, she has some of her trust issues to deal with. Her relationship with her dad and how she views the guy that may cause her even more hurt than healing.

There are minor things that I was not happy about Until You're Mine because I expected that the leading man would be a guy who is focused since he is an MMA fighter, I expect a lot from a guy who does martial arts. I don't know why but I really do. I give Liam a pat on the back for giving Shane a peptalk about his concentration plus preparation to bring down Conrad. I picked this book to review because of that alone. MMA.

In a nutshell, Until You're Mine - interested in the world of MMA or not, I can't guarantee you'll get disciplined whether beginner or black belt holder. Get to know yourself because when love strikes back to come at you, it will definitely get you at vulnerable spot.
