McLean Sweet doesn’t mind. In fact, she welcomes the chance to try on a
new persona. Ever since her parents’ divorce, she and her father have
been on the move, leaving the unhappy past behind them. Each move had
brought a fresh opportunity for McLean to reinvent herself. Perky
rah-rah girl. Drama mama. All-round joiner. But here in Lakeview, for
the first time she’s putting down roots, making friends, and just tryng
to be some she hasn’t been in a long time: herself. Dave has something
to do with it. He’s the most real person McLean’s ever met and he thinks
he’s falling in love with the REAL McLean. McLean doesn’t even know who
that I anymore, but she want to find out—before it’s time to move on
again.
I can feel this character. She did a split personality whenever she
moves in in new towns. McLean with her dad, the fourth town, they went
to was Lakeview and that’s where McLean became real. She didn’t used
other names to cover her true personality. McLean has her own reasons
for doing it before but because when she met Dave, the most real person
she met, not all embarrassed of his past..changed her bit by bit.
Having a divorced parents is really hard…it’s true. But you do not
have to change anything about you just to cover up your terrible past.
No one’s perfect in this world. That’s what Dave Wade showed McLean too.
Nobody’s perfect. Everyone makes mistakes. Even the most genius,
prodigy guy you’ll know. He’ll make mistake. There is nothing to cover
it for. Don’t ever change your beautiful self. Just be you.
That’s what all I can say about the book. Mostly.
Some SPOILER included - P.S. This is about the #1 interesting titbit I shared, 2 AM. Ok…so, I
think I do know about it now. Dave Wade was really just denying the
whole real meaning of it in the book, when it is truly, BEYOND
friendship. McLean found her 2 AM in the book. It was crazy to me
because I STILL CAN’T STOP THINKING ABOUT THIS WHOLE 2 AM THING. Blame
Dave Wade for this. So much for being prodigy, advanced physicist.
HAHAHAHA!
I’ll stop here and wishes you all HAPPY READING!
