A Work in Progress

In this intimate memoir of life beyond the camera, Connor Franta shares the lessons he has learned on his journey from small-town boy to Internet sensation—so far. Here, Connor offers a look at his Midwestern upbringing as one of four children in the home and one of five in the classroom; his struggles with identity, body image, and sexuality in his teen years; and his decision to finally pursue his creative and artistic passions in his early twenties, setting up his thrilling career as a YouTube personality, philanthropist, entrepreneur, and tastemaker.

Exploring his past with insight and humor, his present with humility, and his future with hope, Connor reveals his private struggles while providing heartfelt words of wisdom for young adults. His words will resonate with anyone coming of age in the digital era, but at the core is a timeless message for people of all ages: don’t be afraid to be yourself and to go after what you truly want.

This full-color collection includes photography and childhood clippings provided by Connor and is a must-have for anyone inspired by his journey.

A Work in Progress values the work of art in life, embracing everything that we are as individuals. Connor's creativity connects readers to his passion in photography in the book and consists of inspiring stories from his childhood right up to the point in his life where ambition and hope directs him to keep moving forward without having to worry what tomorrow may bring.

"Reality rarely lives up to high expectations."

I've been wanting to read A Work in Progress for a long time now, to be honest. Lovely colorful pictures that were intimately shared with the readers and how each of them is unique which my eyeballs absolutely feasted on. I was also very delighted and entertained by Connor's writing voice as his style is simple and friendly that makes me feel like I'm a close friend of his not just some readers or strangers. He wants the readers involved and to be absorbed into the stories he presents on each page. Different stories are collected representing different theme and perspective in life. I'm truly glad he mentioned relevant things and provoking thoughts that doesn't make it dull but very meaningful with something I can learn from his life experience.

I highly recommend A Work in Progress! This needs to be read right now and if this isn't convincing you enough, you may want to check out Connor Franta's YouTube videos! I'm fascinated by his work and video edits. I enjoy the content he shares on his channel! A Work in Progress is a fast-paced read. Basically a ton of thoughts from Connor about his life and as a reader, the least I had created a friendship-like through his book and I'll never forget that comforting feeling now that I know I'm not alone to face the world - a changed, positive person.
