Ben is trapped in a life mapped out for him. Trapped in a future career as a lawyer to make his father happy. Trapped pursuing a girl he doesn't even like because she fits into a world he doesn’t want but can’t escape. But then he meets the beautiful and quirky Hannah. And for the first time, he knows what it means to truly want something. So he gives in to being her friend. Then to wanting her. Then to kissing her. This Book Will Change Your Life by Amanda Weaver
This Book Will Change Your Life is briefly about Hannah Gregory, a freshman in Arlington and an avid scientist to follow the footsteps of her father - the only person who inspires her to prove to herself she can definitely be like him and make him proud of her. The future for her has been already set but that changes when she stumbles across a local bookstore, looking for shelter in the pouring rain. She's surprised to discover the passion for reading and that also leads her encounter with Ben. Ben, however, has certainly a different situation as it's opposite to Hannah's and readers will definitely find similarities between the two as together they tackle the struggle and circumstances needed to be straightened out when the two meets in the right place and time.
It's true that if you really find the book to be a great read, it's very difficult to find the right words to say in a review. I wouldn't give this book 5 stars if not for the quality and impact it gives on me. It absolutely illustrated my most wildest dream to meet cute guys in bookstores. I've always imagined it and it's pretty close to this, I love it! If there's any flaw at all with this book, I couldn't find any.
I love and enjoyed the book because here's the truth. Especially for readers who are looking for adorable reads, you'll find This Book Will Change Your Life to be very sweet and endearing romance. The plot is, without difficulty, smooth in terms of the flow of the story which I can't complain about the mellow tone in Hannah's POV.
Hannah's very compassionate and gentle. Very interesting character who set high expectations and I can relate to her in an extent due to the way she approached her situation in school in a confused manner and doubting it she'll find the right career for herself. It's tough for her including me. I'm proud of her that she's considering her options and expanding her horizon to grab as many opportunities as possible until she finally figured it out for herself.
This Book Will Change Your Life made me experience the phrase 'every cloud has a silver lining' as Ben and Hannah shares their honest feelings, family problems, or any of the problems bothering them as they build bridges between different aspirations and goals in life. I feel that the book advocates literature to both readers and especially non-readers to explore the new possibilities in life. Finding yourself in a world where everybody is lost is the first step towards your true strength. No matter how you view life, there's always a purpose and meaning for everyone. A fantastic read indeed!
