The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight

Who would have guessed that four minutes could change everything?
Today should be one of the worst days of seventeen-year-old Hadley Sullivan’s life. She’s stuck at JFK, late to her father’s second wedding, which is taking place in London and involves a soon to be step-mother that Hadley’s never even met. Then she meets the perfect boy in the airport’s cramped waiting area. His name is Oliver, he’s British, and he’s in seat 18B. Hadley’s in 18A.
Twists of fate and quirks of timing play out in this thoughtful novel about family connections, second chances and first loves. Set over a 24-hour-period, Hadley and Oliver’s story will make you believe that true love finds you when you’re least expecting it.

This book is a fluffy fast read. It was good. What I disliked about it was, nothing really much happened in it other than patching things up with her dad. It was a drag on. And then there all those flashbacks. I was even so excited when I started the book now I just don’t know. I don’t even know I how survived reading it. I found parts that were witty. It’s also an unpredictable story. I didn’t expect this or that would happen – there are parts that I figured.

Believe me it is a good book well you can we have different opinions, so yeah. Oliver’s character lacked personality, he was nice of a character though. There could have been more about him. You know. He’s realistic. I get that. I teared up to a part where he explains to Hadley about his father. That one hit me. Partly because it’s just real. Like two of them are actually in a time where it really happened if that makes sense.

Oh, some part of the story is witty and realistic. But what I could not take as realistic is the fact that how could you possibly be in love with a STRANGER who you just met in an airport? Seriously. And look, I’ve not experience in a relationship before but if I just stop and put myself in her shoes, definitely my thoughts and hers won’t be the same. JUST MET. IN LOVE. NO WAY. I have to know the guy really well first hand.

One more thing, Hadley has no respect for her dad. She can’t even fixed her own problems first before heading to go look for Oliver. Family issues first before the boy, lil girl.

I was expecting so much from this book to be 5 stars! *sigh* I guess not all books are good. Pretty bad one exists too. I just hope the next book the author is writing now is better than this.

Let’s start with something more basic.

“…Isn’t it strange that I know you’d risk your life to save mine… but I don’t know what your favorite color is?” he says.
A smile creeps on to my lips. “Green. What’s yours?”
“Orange,” he says.
“Orange? Like Effie’s hair?” I say.
“A bit more muted,” he says. “More like… sunset.” ~Peeta Mellark and Katniss Everdeen, Catching Fire

Photo by me, using Canon EOS. ;)
Sunset. I can see it immediately, the rim of the descending sun, the sky streaked with soft shades of orange. Beautiful. ~Katniss Everdeen, Catching Fire

Taken by me- using my Sony phone, my fave-old phone. I love sunsets too. <3

Tidbits on my current reading so far: What Happened To Goodbye

I’m not really going to my-so-basic review of this book yet, because I am halfway through the book, currently reading it and started only today. I just wanna share some things that got me stop reading for a while. I found interesting things to share for you about this book from Sarah Dessen!

When I got to the point of where Dave Wade (character in the book), mentions about “your 2 AM”, I just couldn’t help but think about the meaning of it! Clearly here’s my tweet:

and unexpectedly someone replied to my random tweet haha! It was a really cool reply btw! I just love her! She’s really sweet auntie to me!

I read her reply tweet to me and I can’t stop laughing out loud sitting on the sofa! I replied to her, saying, true. Idk though if she meant the friendship one or BEYOND friendship. But I guess, she’s referring to “BEYOND relationship”. :)

In the book though, Dave explains to McLean that “2 AM” means… something like friendship, who always be there for you whenever you need them even when it’s late at night and you call ‘em, they are always there for you. But you know I don’t think that’s what he really meant on the book…it’s pretty clear to me that it’s more than that.

(maybe) Last INTERESTING TIDBIT

This tweet I saw a while ago was so close to the story of the book and it makes me sad because I absolutely think that it’s true.

P.S. This is all for now…I can’t really get out all the feelings from the first interesting tidbit. I’m having a hard time explaining my feelings. Yeah…it’s true, i don’t have my own real 2 AM. Trust me..it’s not about boys I’m referring to..I’m actually talking about best friends. Oh well, you’ll never understand me. Thanks all for you concern, really.

NOT TO FORGET —–> Happy #3rdDavidArchuletaAnniversary debut album! @DavidArchie :D

CRUSH – Single

If you want more music…go check David Archuleta today!

If you want some 2 AM song related from the tidbit topic I shared, well I got some, from Taylor Swift! Not really THAT related but at least, the lyrics from her songs has 2 AM in them. I listened to her songs and actually heard lots of 2 AM and it puzzled me, saying, “does it actually have meaning?” Probably, I was lucky to have the answer given by Dave Wade, eh? LOL. ;)

That’s The Way I Loved You
But I’ve been screamin’ and fightin’
And kissin’ in the rain
And it’s

2 a.m.

and I’m cursin’ your name
You’re so in love that you act insane
And that’s the way I loved you
Breathe

It’s 2 a.m., feelin’ like I just lost a friend
Hope you know this ain’t easy, easy for me

Enchanted

The lingering question kept me up, 2 a.m., who do you love?
I wonder ’til I’m wide awake

Keep checking for the next blog! Ciao! :)

The Hunger Games Trilogy: Catching Fire

Against all odds, Katniss has won the Hunger Games. She and fellow District 12 tribute Peeta Mellark are miraculously still alive. Katniss should be relieved, happy even. After all, she has returned to her family and longtime friend, Gale. Yet nothing is the way Katniss wishes it to be. Gale holds her at an icy distance. Peeta has turned his back on her completely. And there are whispers of a rebellion against the Capitol– a rebellion that Katniss and Peeta may have helped create.

Much to her shock, Katniss has fueled an unrest she’s afraid she cannot stop. And what scares her even more is that she’s not entirely convinced she should try. As time draws near for Katniss and Peeta to visit the districts on the Capitol’s cruel Victory Tour, the stakes are higher than ever. If they can’t prove, without a shadow of a doubt, that they are lost in their love for each other, the consequences will be horrifying.

AMAZING BOOK. Definitely a must read for all who loves suspense, adventure, romance, well..it’s all there and read it for yourself! LOVE the book to pieces! In fact, the whole trilogy! I’m on the way to read the 3rd and final installment of The Hunger Games Trilogy. I can’t wait to read it!
P.S. NLB – actually, i just borrowed the book from one of the libraries here. Don’t worry, when i have a lot of money from my piggy bank and i save money for it, I’ll buy those books in the stores and who knows, I may get the chance to get my copies signed from the author even ;)
If you’re wondering too, that cover is one of the other cover the book has but originally, the book cover looks like this, which is wicked cool too!
